On November 15, the "Chinese Story" series of activities hosted by the Luxembourg China Cultural Center, the Chinese Folk Artists Association and the International Rap Art Alliance, and jointly supported by the six major overseas Chinese groups in Luxembourg included "Quyi Luxembourg - Special Performance of Chinese Folk Art" and " "A Thousand Years of Joy - Chinese Folk Arts and Artifacts Cultural Exhibition" was successfully held at the China Cultural Center in Luxembourg. This Chinese folk art performance in Luxembourg is the second stop after the first European tour in Germany. Chinese Ambassador to Luxembourg Hua Ning, Director of the Luxembourg China Cultural Center Wang Xiaohong, Vice Chairman of the Chinese Folk Artists Association Zhang Xudong, Secretary General Huang Qun, International Rap Art Zhu Peihua, vice chairman and secretary-general of the alliance, representatives of overseas Chinese leaders and more than 100 local Chinese culture enthusiasts watched the performances and exhibitions.

Hua Ning, Chinese Ambassador to Luxembourg, said that folk art is a representative of China’s excellent culture. Over the course of thousands of years, it has condensed numerous and magnificent aesthetic qualities and artistic methods, revealing the aesthetic principles and interests advocated by the Chinese people. Nowadays, Chinese folk art culture has begun to go abroad, telling Chinese stories well through this special "Chinese style" art form, allowing excellent traditional culture to shine on the world stage.
Huang Qun, secretary-general of the Chinese Quyi Artists Association, said that although China and Rwanda are thousands of miles apart, this is the sixth time the Chinese Quyi Association delegation has come here. What has been built is not only a bridge of commerce, but also a bridge of culture, people's hearts, and friendship. As an important part of the excellent traditional culture of the Chinese nation, Chinese folk arts carry rich cultural heritage and a long history. With its unique form of rap expression and profound connotation, it shows the wisdom and emotions of the Chinese people. Tonight's program has its own characteristics, focusing on the traditional classics of folk art and its outstanding development achievements in recent years.

In recent years, Chinese folk art artists have brought folk arts to various parts of the world, telling vivid traditional Chinese folk stories through folk arts from all over China, conveying Chinese values, and playing a positive role in promoting cultural exchanges, mutual learning, and people-to-people bonds.



The opening performance that night was hosted by Zhang Xudong, vice chairman of the Chinese Quyi Artists Association, and various types of music and repertoire were performed. There are 8 folk art programs from China’s Beijing, Shanghai, Sichuan, Fujian and Inner Mongolia. Wonderful performances such as cross talk, oboe, Nanyin, Suzhou Tanci, and comedy are staged in turn. The actors jump in and out between roles to explain and interact with the audience, flexibly The diverse performance forms combined with the emotional singing made the program exciting and long-lasting. After the performance, the audience had a close look at the accompaniment instruments and props commonly used in Chinese folk art performances as well as the unique accompaniment instruments in Nanyin performing arts, and were full of praise for the actors' superb skills and exquisite folk art utensils. The actors were also very touched by their love for Chinese culture and had cordial exchanges with the audience.
