On September 25th , the "Special Performance of Hubei Peking Opera Classic Excerpts" jointly organized by China Culture Center in Luxembourg, the Hubei Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, the Hubei Provincial Peking Opera Theater, and the Luxembourg Conservatory of Music was successfully held at the Luxembourg Conservatory of Music.
Artists from the Hubei Provincial Peking Opera Theater jointly brought a performance of classic excerpts of Hubei Peking Opera to the audience. The performance kicked off with the classic martial arts drama "Fighting Against Ma Chao".
"The Heavenly Maid Scatters Blossoms" vividly depicts the Goddess leaving the Kingdom of Fragrances on the order of the Buddha, riding on the wind and controlling the air, traveling around the world, and enjoying the wonderful scenery of heaven and earth.
The traditional Peking Opera martial arts drama "Monkey King Battles the Water Demon" starring Wu Dan and Wu Shengxing is adapted from the historical facts and myths of Shuiman Sizhou. The scene in which Monkey King, the Monkey King, fights against the banshee jellyfish fully demonstrates the superb and dazzling skills of Peking Opera martial arts, pushing the whole performance to a climax.
After the performance, the audience went on stage to interact with the actors, learn Peking Opera movements on the spot, and feel the profound connotation of Peking Opera.
