Throughout the millennia of poetic inheritance in Kuizhou, famous names to have graced the lands of Fengjie include Chen Ziang, Li Bai, Du Fu, Bai Juyi, Liu Yuxi, Wang Shipeng, Lu You, Zhao Mengfu, Yang Shen, and Wang Shizhen, who collectively wrote poems numbering in the tens of thousands.
Fengjie has been a world-renowned producer of citrus fruit since the Han Dynasty and is one of the eight main cultivation regions of navel oranges in the world.

Specialty products and cultural highlights of Fengjie
There is a series of wine products named after poetic eulogies written by Li Bai, such as White Emperor City, and embody the county with their rich and delicate flavors.
Fengjie is one of three major geographical regions worldwide suitable for the cultivation of olives. The county has 130,000 acres of high-quality olive oil bases and is produced through physical cold pressing. The olive oil produced here enjoys the reputation of liquid gold, thanks to its purity and high quality with zero additives.

Sunglasses are a specialty product in Fengjie that features Kuimen Gorge and ancient poetry as the theme for decorative frame patterns. The products are fashionable, dynamic, and meet international quality standards.

Baidi City and Qutang Gorge Scenic Spot are located at the western end of the Three Gorges on the Yangtze River. They are national key cultural relics listed for protection and are a nationally 4A rated scenic spot.
Baidi City is located at the mouth of Qutang Gorge. According to legend, Gongsun Shu built the city here in the late Western Han Dynasty, and it was named it Baidi (White Emperor) after himself.

Since ancient times, Kuimen Gorge has been a famous landmark of Chongqing and features on the back of the fifth set of 10 RMB banknotes. The area is being developed into a national 5A-rated scenic spot.
The Top of the Three Gorges Scenic Area is located at the peak of Chijia Mountain in Kuimen. It is the highest point of Qutang Gorge, reaching an altitude of 1,388 meters.
High quality pure extra virgin olive oil is produced in the lands of Fengjie.
From the peak, there is a panoramic view over the mountains and valleys, and the Yangtze River winds into the distance like a jade belt. While admiring the boundless scenery as clothes flutter to the blowing wind, one has the sense of having entered upon a wonderland where cares are forgotten, thoughts are free to roam, and the spirit becomes sublimated.
Kuizhou Museum Scenic Area is adjacent to Baidi City in the east. It is a national 4A rated scenic spot. It features the original protected site of Yaokui Tower, the restored Yidou Gate, Kaiji Gate, and cultural attractions such as the city walls, Dacheng Palace, Baochao Stone Room, and Baogong Pavillion. The museum itself holds over 20,000 cultural relics.

Tiankeng Difeng ‘Heavenly Pit’ Scenic Spot is located at 30° north latitude, with an average elevation of 1200 meters and an annual temperature of 20°C. Inside, the Xiaozhai Tiankeng is the world’s largest karst funnel in terms of depth and volume. It is famous as a destination for ecology and well-being in Chongqing and is where a national-level tourist resort is under construction.
The Longqiao River Scenic Spot is a world-class underground river and a national 4A rated attraction. The scenic area has an average elevation of 1,500 meters and a forest coverage rate of 87%. Among this beautiful and secluded environment is an underground river system 50 kilometers long, the longest of its kind in the world.

The beautiful paradise of Sanxia Yuanxiang Scenic Area is located in Xinglong Town, where a romantic town has been created at the doorstep for busy urban residents to satisfy their innermost yearnings.
There is also the world’s largest mountain entrance named Hankui Gate, or even Shenxian Cave, for tourists to check out during an exciting tour.
Created as a large scale performance by the internationally renowned director Zhang Yimou, Return to the Three Gorges is staged on the Yangtze River with Baidi City, Qutang Gorge, and Kuimen in the background.
